Former President Donald Trump announced on Dec. 15 with 45,000 NFTs available for minting during the Sweepstakes Each NFT costs $99 during the entry period, which equates to 0.083 ETH based on the ETH prices at the time of writing.

The  non-fungible tokens (NFTs) went through the website Super Auction. NFTs are unique digital assets that are verified on a blockchain and can represent a wide range of content, including art, music, and even tweets.

Trump’s NFTs feature a selection of his most famous tweets, including his infamous “covfefe” tweet from 2017 and his tweet about banning transgender individuals from serving in the military. The NFTs also include a video message from Trump and a certificate of authenticity signed by him.

The release of Trump’s NFTs was met with a mix of excitement and skepticism. Some saw it as a unique opportunity to own a piece of digital history, while others criticized it as a ploy to make money off of his controversial reputation. The NFTs quickly sold out, with some going for as much as $5,000.

Overall, Trump’s NFTs have generated a significant amount of attention and have sparked a larger conversation about the role of NFTs in the art world and the potential for politicians to monetize their digital presence. It remains to be seen how the lawsuit and the larger NFT market will impact Trump’s foray into this new area.
